Kaylea Ellis joined the Toledo Athletics staff in June 2025 as the Marketing, Sales & Fan Experience Specialist.
Before joining the Rockets, Ellis spent three years at Ohio University Athletics in various roles. She began as the Marketing & Ticket Sales Graduate Assistant in May 2022, supporting the Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball programs. In June of 2023, Ellis assumed the position of Marketing Coordinator before being hired full-time as Director of Marketing & Fan Experience in August 2023.
As Director of Marketing & Fan Experience at Ohio, Ellis led game-day presentation, in-venue production, and strategic marketing campaigns across all 16 varsity sports. She served as the primary contact for football and men’s basketball fan experience, developing initiatives to enhance the game-day atmosphere and engage fans.
An Ohio graduate, Ellis served as a member of the Ohio University Dance Team. During her time at Ohio, Ellis also interned in the marketing department with the Florence Freedom baseball team (now the Florence Y’alls) and the Cincinnati Bengals, where she worked as a Corporate Partnership Activation Intern. Â
Ellis is native of Liberty Township, Ohio and graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University in 2021 with a degree in Sports Management. She earned a dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Sport Administration from Ohio in 2023.
