TOLEDO, OH - Senior center Nathan Boothe has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the second straight week, the league office announced on Monday. Boothe's honor also marks the second time in his collegiate career he has received the award.

Boothe earned the Great Alaska Shootout's Most Outstanding Player award last week after helping Toledo to a runner-up finish in the tournament. The Gurnee, IL native averaged 14.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game and committed just one turnover in 100 minutes of action.

Boothe registered the first triple-double in program history in UT's opening game, an 89-74 win over San State. Boothe tallied 12 points, a season-high 13 rebounds and a career-best 10 assists with zero turnovers vs. the Spartans. He then helped the Rockets down Loyola in the semifinals with 12 points, seven assists and six boards. In the championship game vs. Middle Tennessee, he tallied his second double-double of the week with 19 points, a game-high 12 rebounds and five assists.
