Senior WR Stephen Williams

"It was a battle. We played out hardest but Purdue really came out to win. They are a very talented team. But we played hard all four quarters. We never gave up. We have some things to be proud about but we're never happy with a loss."

"I'm supposed to be a target and a playmaker for the team. That's my job. But it's not just me. The whole wide receiver corps stepped up."

Junior DE Douglas Westbrook

"Purdue played an outstanding game. We can't take anything away from them. They're blocking was very good and they have quick running backs. But we had a lot of mistakes on defense, and they're going to be corrected next week in practice. I know that for sure."

"I'm very disappointed. I feel like we could have played better on both sides of the ball. We made a lot of mistakes and Purdue capitalized on all of them. They were the better team today."

"We've got to limit our mistakes. We need to work on a lot of things. Our running game needs to get better. Our passing game needs to get better. I'm not happy with the outcome of this game but we have a lot of great players who can make big plays. We'll get better. I'm not worried at all."
