TOLEDO - The Rockets don't need any extra motivation for this week's season finale, but there is some added incentive, nevertheless.

Toledo travels to its arch-rival, the Bowling Green Falcons, this Friday, Nov. 27 for the 74th meeting of the two schools. The Rockets need a win to finish the season with a 6-6 record and reach bowl eligibility, something UT has not accomplished since going 9-3 in 2005. First-year head coach Tim Beckman would like nothing more than to send out his seniors with the best record in their four seasons in Midnight Blue and Gold.

The Rockets are hoping last week's 47-21 triumph over Eastern Michigan will give them a jump-start against a tough Bowling Green squad. Toledo racked up 330 rushing yards in the EMU win, including 155 from Morgan Williams and 144 from DaJuane Collins.

The Falcons (6-5, 5-2 MAC) are in the midst of a three-game winning streak and have won five of their last six contests. Their last victory was a 36-20 decision over Akron at home. Senior quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 338 yards and two TDs. His number-one weapon, wide receiver Freddie Barnes, caught 12 passes for 197 yards. Barnes leads the nation with 129 receptions, 36 more than the No. 2 receiver.

Quick Notes for the Bowling Green Game

- Toledo and Bowling Green are playing for the Peace Pipe, which began as a basketball trophy in 1948 but was converted to a football trophy in 1980.

- Toledo head coach Tim Beckman, along with assistants Mike Ward and Matt Campbell, are all former assistant coaches at BGSU. Beckman was the defensive coordinator from 1998-2004. Ward spent 17 seasons at BG from 1992-2008, while Campbell was an assistant for three seasons from 2006-08.

- Bowling Green leads the series, 38-31-4. The Falcons have won the last two contests, while Toledo won the three before that. The road team has only won twice in the last 11 years (Toledo in 2005 and BG in 2008).

- Senior WR Stephen Williams needs just two more catches to pass Lance Moore (222 from 2001-04) as UT's all-time leader. Against EMU, he became the first Rocket to crack the 3,000-yard barrier in receiving yards. He now has 3,020 yards in his four-year career.
