TOLEDO - University of Toledo wide receiver Stephen Williams (Houston, TX) has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. Williams is one of 37 preseason nominees. He made second-team All-MAC in each of the last two seasons. He has 150 career receptions, needing 73 to pass Lance Moore on UT's all-time list.
Williams is the fourth UT player to be named a preseason candidate for a national award. The others are senior running back DaJuane Collins (Doak Walker Award); senior safety Barry Church (Jim Thorpe Award - Defensive Back); and senior placekicker Alex Steigerwald (Lou Groza Award).
