Rocket Boys’ Basketball Camps Filling Up; Space Still Available
TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo is close to filling its boys' basketball camps this summer but still has space available for its two sessions this summer. Day camps will be held for boys entering second- through ninth-grades on June 18-21 and July 16-19.
The purpose of the camp is to instruct young players in the fundamentals of the game and help instill in them a love and appreciation for basketball and good sportsmanship. Every participant can count on an exciting and rewarding week of playing hard, playing together, having fun and improving his basketball skills. Campers will have the opportunity to play in the newly-renovated Savage Arena as well as tour the entire facility. Each camper will also receive a personal evaluation and a basketball handbook.
"We're very excited to be offering two camps that you will have a ton of fun while also receiving tremendous individual instruction," Toledo Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk said. "We believe that every camper that attends the Toledo Rocket Basketball Camp will leave a better player."
The fee for the camp is $200.00. A $40.00 discount will be provided for those who do two of the following: a) Attend both camps; b) Have two or more family members attend a camp; or c) Sign up for camp with a group of five or more kids. Full-time employees of the University of Toledo will also receive a $20.00 discount for their sons and can also receive an additional $20.00 discount by fulfilling one of the previous four criteria.
