Toledo added to its advantage with a two-out, two-run triple by Zuchowksi in the fourth frame. The Hamtramck, MI native turned on the first pitch from NIU's Jake Hermsen and ripped a three-base hit down the right-field line.
UT then closed out the scoring with a single tally on a RBI hit by Corfman in the sixth frame.
The scored remained the same until the ninth when NIU broke up the shutout with a sacrifice fly off the bat of Alex Beckmann to make the final difference 5-1.
