Toledo, OH - The Toledo softball team will play its final home games of the 2012 season on Wednesday, May 2, as it hosts a double-header against non-conference  foe Morehead State. The twinbill concludes what has been an 18-game homestand.

The Rockets (18-32, 8-10) are coming off a two-game sweep of Northern Illinois on Sunday, April 29, and looking to continue building momentum off a week in which they posted a 5-1 mark. Defeating NIU by scores of 10-0 and 4-3 on Sunday, UT also recorded a 2-1 win over Western Michigan and wins of 10-1 and 9-6 over Youngstown State last week.

Toledo's eight conference wins matches their overall win total from a year ago, when the Midnight Blue and Gold went 8-43. It is the most conference wins a UT softball team has earned since 1997.

The matchup against Morehead State is the final non-conference competition of the season before the Rockets hit the road for a double-header against Ball State on Friday, May 4 and two contests against Miami on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6.

The Eagles of Morehead State come into the games with a record of 14-33, including a 7-18 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference. They are fresh off a 6-0 road win at Tennessee State.
