Toledo to Hold Summer Soccer Camps in June at Scott Park

TOLEDO, OH - Toledo will hold its annual summer soccer camps during the month of June at Scott Park. The two five-day camps are focused on helping local players develop and are built on the elements of fun, technique, tactics and low player-to-coach ratio.

"We are tremendously excited to be running the Rocket Soccer Camp for the 11th-straight year," said Toledo Head Coach Brad Evans, the two-time reigning Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year said. "Over the years, we have worked with thousands of Northwest Ohio youth soccer players and with a low 8-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio, we're able to provide first-rate instruction at our exceptional facilities."

Technique and skill development will be appropriate to age and skill level of the players. Players will have their feet on the ball for many repetitions and have a lot of opportunities to achieve success.

Tactical learning of the game will be emphasized by using small-sided games and other match situations.

Following is a schedule of sessions for campers to choose from:

Week I : June 11-15
Rocket Little-Kickers: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Participants: Boys & Girls Ages 5-7
Day Camp: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Participants: Boys & Girls Ages 8-14

Week II: June 18-22
Rocket Little-Kickers: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Participants: Boys & Girls Ages 5-7
Day Camp: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Participants: Boys & Girls Ages 8-14
