With today's win, Toledo is now 8-7 all-time against the Mountain West Conference (1-0 vs. Air Force, 0-2 vs. Boise State, 1-1 vs. Colorado State, 0-2 vs. Fresno State, 3-0 vs. Nevada, 2-1 vs. UNLV, 1-1 vs. Wyoming).
Toledo finished with 504 total yards of offense (300 passing, 204 rushing). The Rockets held an 85-68 edge in total plays and a 35:29-24:31 advantage in time of possession.
Junior QB Terrance Owens made his seventh career start under center and completed 25-of-41 passes for 300 yards and four TDs. Owens' 41 pass attempts are a career high and his four TDs equal his career-best effort. The fourth-year Rocket has now thrown for at least 300 yards on three occasions. Owens also carried the ball 14 times for a career-high 74 yards.
Junior WR Bernard Reedy caught a team-high six passes for 111 yards and two scores, surpassing the century mark for the fourth time in his collegiate career. Reedy was credited with a 35-yard TD catch in the second quarter and a 35-yarder in the third period.
Junior RB David Fluellen carried the ball a career-high 22 times for a collegiate-best 109 yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry. Fluellen's previous career-best effort was 93 yards vs. Bowling Green on Oct. 15, 2011.
Sophomore RB Cassius McDowell registered a 13-yard TD catch in the second quarter for his second-career score. McDowell finished with three catches for 38 yards and carried the ball seven times for 22 yards.
Senior LB Dan Molls totaled a team-high 13 tackles. Molls has a squad-best 22 stops after the first two games.
Senior S Jermaine Robinson was credited with his second interception of the season and sixth in his collegiate career in the second quarter. Robinson finished with four stops.
Junior DL Elijah Jones picked off his first career pass a potential Wyoming scoring drive midway through the third quarter. Jones was credited with two tackles for the game.
Senior LB Robert Bell was responsible for nine stops.
Junior DE Christian Smith finished with a game-high two tackles-for-loss and five total tackles.
Sophomore PK Jeremiah Detmer had a great day on kickoffs, booting all seven into the end zone for touchbacks. Detmer was also credited with a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 30-yarder in the third.
Junior P Vince Penza averaged a whopping 47.0 yards on three punts, including a season-high 62 yarder in the second period.
Senior DL Danny Farr left the game early in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury and did not return.
Junior WR James Green made his season debut and hauled a four-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter. Green has been battling an injury for the opening part of the season.
