RICHMOND, KY - Toledo saw three golfers register Top 10 showings on Saturday en route to tying for second place at this weekend's EKU Colonel Classic. The event was held at the par-72, 5,809-yard Arlington Golf Club.

"We competed and played hard out on the course today but we came up just a little short," said Toledo Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth after her team matched their low round of the season with a 302. "I thought we played with a lot of courage, and this result is something that we can build on."

Senior Georgina Hunt led the Rockets at 11-over par 227 (76-76-75) to finish alone in fourth place, one stroke ahead of classmate Piyathida Chaiyapan who tied for fifth place at 12-over par 228 (75-78-75). Sophomore Kate Hoops tied for seventh place at 13-over par 229 (76-79-74) and carded the Rockets' top round today with a two-over par 74. Freshmen Lauren Stephens (T-29th/81-79-78=238) and Stephanie St-Jean (42nd/80-82-80=242) rounded out the Rocket lineup.

Junior Allison Schultz (T-19th/79-78-77=234) and freshman Jennifer Elsholz (T-50th/85-83-80=248) competed as individuals for Toledo.

The Rockets shot a team score of 57-over par 921 (310-309-302) to tie for second place with Morehead State, seven shots behind tournament champion Akron. Ball State's Jenna Hague captured medalist honors at seven-over par 223 (74-74-75).
