Al Morrison enters his second season as the Graduate Assistant Diving Coach with the University of Toledo women's swimming and diving program. A 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Morrison was a four-year letterwinner for the Badgers' swimming and diving team and has been involved with diving for over 10 years. An all-state and All-American diver in high school, he went on to record collegiate personal-best performances of 319.80 on the 1-meter board, 334.65 on the 3-meter board and 254.10 on the platform.

Prior to joining the Toledo staff under head coach Liz Hinkleman, Morrison served one year as the Volunteer Assistant Diving Coach at the University of Michigan. While there, he played a role in restoring the Wolverines' storied diving tradition as the team scored off the springboard for the first time since 2007 at the 2011 Big Ten Championships. He also coached Jack Lee to a 16th-place finish in the one-meter and Chris Morrison (his brother) to a 13th-place finish off the three-meter, leading to a conference-best 35th Big Ten Championships crown.

"We are extremely excited about Al being on board with our program," said Hinkleman. "He comes from an excellent diving program and has experience with coaching club and collegiate athletes. He will bring in new ideas and training philosophies."

Morrison studied Communication Science and History at the University of Wisconsin and will be enrolled in UT's MBA program beginning in fall 2011. He is the son of Gene and Connie Morrison and has two siblings: Chris, a diver at the University of Michigan and Amy, a former pole vaulter at Clemson University. When he is not diving or coaching, Morrison enjoys racing Motocross and wakeboarding.
