FISHERS, IN – Toledo maintained its second-place standing following Saturday’s second round of the 2014 Mid-American Conference Women’s Golf Championship and trails first-place Kent State by 12 strokes heading into Sunday’s final round. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,127-yard Hawthowns Golf & Country Club.

“We played another solid round today, and I’m really happy to see Jen and Manisa play the way they did,” Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth said. “Hopefully we can continue our successful tournament tomorrow and finish on a high note. It’s going to be hard to overcome 12 strokes against a great Kent State team, but we’re going to try the best we can.”

Junior Jennifer Elsholz notched the Rockets’ best round of the day with a one-over par 73 and is tied for 8th place at six-over par 150 (77-73), one stroke behind classmate Stephanie St-Jean who is tied for 5th place five-over par 149 (72-77).  Eastern Michigan’s Karyn Lee Ping is leading all individuals with a one-over par 145 (73-72).

Sophomore Manisa Isavas rebounded from an opening-round 82 with a three-over par 75 for UT’s second-best score of the day. She is tied for 19th place at 13-over par 157 (82-75), two shots behind sophomore Sathika Ruenreong’s 11-over par 155 (75-80).
