In game one, Toledo struck early and often, as the Rockets scored at least one run in each of the first three innings.

UT scored two more in the third to increase its lead to 4-0 and never looked back, scoring four more runs in the bottom of the fifth to put the game away. Wright scored on Fidge's triple to right center field, junior pinch runner Allissa Turkovich scored on London's double, and London and Docktor each crossed the plate later in the inning.

Freshman P Emily Anderson racked up nine strikeouts in seven innings of work, allowing just two hits, four walks and one run.

In game two, Anderson was unable to recreate her strong performance from earlier, pitching six innings and allowing 11 runs on nine hits. She struck out six batters.

The game went back and forth, as EMU scored four runs in the first inning, but Toledo scored two in the first and three in the second to take a 5-4 lead. The Eagles scored two more in the fifth to take a one run lead and added five insurance runs in the final frame to go up six runs.
