TOLEDO, OH - Toledo freshman Stjepan Sisko capped off an outstanding first year with Toledo, as he was named Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
"Stjepan played a terrific MAC anchor in his season finale, and just dominated him from start to finish," head coach Al Wermer said. "Stjepan's mindset and game style have matured exponentially this year."
Sisko won his only match this weekend, scoring Toledo’s only victory in a 6-1 loss to Western Michigan in its final regular season match before the tournament. He defeated the Broncos’ Nadin Indre in the top singles spot 6-2, 6-0.
