OLEAN, NY - The Rockets (4-4) will continue their rugged stretch of non-league play when the reigning Mid-American Conference regular-season champions take on St. Bonaventure (8-3) on Sunday, Dec. 15 in the Reilly Center (5,480). The opening tip against the Atlantic 10 Conference member Bonnies is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Last weekend, UT split a pair of contests at the second-annual Toledo Invite, claiming a 79-70 victory over Horizon League participant Detroit on Friday, followed by a 63-61 last-second setback against fellow Horizon League member Valparaiso on Saturday.

Junior Inma Zanoguera and senior Brianna Jones received all-tournament team honors for their efforts in the two contests. Zanoguera, who was selected to the all-tourney squad for a third time this season, averaged 12.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals in 38.0 minutes, while Jones tallied 11.0 points and 6.5 caroms per contest.

In the victory against the Titans, the Rockets put a season-tying best six players in double figures and knocked down a season-high 10 triples.

The following afternoon vs. the Crusders, Sharon Karungi scored on an offensive rebound with 3.1 seconds left to lift the visitors to the two-point triumph.

UT, which is 2-1 away from home this year, features a balanced attack with Zanoguera, freshman Lindsay Baker, Jones, senior Andola Dortch and senior Janelle Reed-Lewis averaging 14.9, 11.5, 10.3, 9.8 and 9.8 ppg, respectively.

Toledo will face a talented St. Bonaventure squad which has won its last two contests, including a 63-54 triumph at Binghamton on Dec. 7. Hannah Little led three Bonnies in double figures with 20 points and eight caroms.

SBU, which is a perfect 3-0 at home in 2013-14, also utilizes a balanced offense with all five starters contributing at least 8.9 ppg led by Katie Healy (13.6 ppg, 8.5 rpg) and Gabrielle Richmond (11.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg).

Richmond, a redshirt freshman, was a classmate of former Rocket Kendyl Nunn (2012-13) at Morgan Park High School in Chicago.

UT and SBU have met one time, with the Midnight Blue & Gold claiming a 59-45 victory in the championship game of the inaugural Glass City Tournament on Dec. 2, 2012.

Following Sunday’s game, Toledo will host Atlantic 10 power Dayton on Sunday, Dec. 22. The opening tip against the Flyers is slated for 2:00 p.m. in the friendly confines of Savage Arena. UT and UD will meet for a fifth-consecutive season and the 20th time in the overall series. Dayton leads the all-time series 10-9, following its 79-76 triumph at home on Nov. 14, 2012.
