UT’s best showing was tying for 14th place in 2002. Selfridge is the first Rocket to compete in the NCAAs as an individual.

The opening day of the tournament was played in wet and soggy conditions. He helped Toledo register a seventh-place finish as a team in a field that included three of the nation’s Top 50 teams.

On the International Scene
Chris Selfridge continued his strong finish to his freshman season when he finished in the Top 10 in his final three events by winning the Irish Amateur last summer. Selfridge then was chosen to represent Ireland in South Africa at the 10 Nations Cup (Feb. 6-9) as well as South African Amateur Stroke Play Event (Feb. 12-15). He tied for 21st at the Ten Nations Cup with a two-under par 286 (71-71-71-73) and tied for 16th at the Stroke Play event at one-under par 287 (72-69-75-71).
