TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo Women's Track & Field team received numerous outstanding individual efforts on Saturday during the eighth-annual Toledo Collegiate Challenge on the Fetterman Outdoor Track & Field Facility. UT collected 16 top-five finishes against the 18 other schools competing, while three Rockets won an event.
Four Rockets reached Mid-American Conference automatic-qualifying marks in the first outdoor meet of the spring, including sophomore Julia Pusateri, senior Kiah Douglas and sophomore Carly Molls.
Pusateri won the 1,500-meter run with a meet-best time of 4:38.03, which placed her fifth on the MAC list.
Douglas now sits on top of the conference in the long jump after winning the event on Saturday with a distance of 19'6.25".
Molls got the momentum going in field events with a second-place finish in the javelin throw. She recorded a final distance of 135'8" and now stands in seventh place on the conference chart.
Senior Yuhong Fu won the triple jump after a leap of 38'4", while Douglas was the runner-up at 38'0.75".
