Rockets at 10-Over Par at C&F Bank Intercollegiate; Selfridge Fires One-Under 69

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Toledo was fortunate to finish its round before the snow hit on Sunday and is in seventh place at William & Mary’s C&F Bank Intercollegiate. The tournament is being held at the par-70, 6,765-yard Kingsmill Resort River Course.

Sophomore Chris Selfridge topped the Rockets with a one-under par 69 and is tied for fifth place, two strokes behind co-leaders Casey Olsen of Eastern Michigan and Cory Sciupider of Notre Dame. Selfridge was two-over par in his first seven holes but was bogey-free with three birdies the remaining 11 holes.

Sophomore Mike Lancaster, who carded Toledo’s second-best round at three-over par 73 and is tied for 48th place, finished strong with two birdies over his last five holes. Also registering solid rounds were junior Oliver Holtsberry and freshman Otto Black tied for 70th place at four-over par 74.

Rounding out the Rocket lineup is freshman Thomas Shindler tied for 160th place at 16-over par 86.

James Madison and Eastern Kentucky are leading the field at three-over and five-over par, respectively, but have completed just nine holes. Fourteen schools still need to complete their round. No. 27 Tennessee leads the 16 schools that have completed 18 holes at five-over par 285, two strokes in front of No. 16 Florida State and Michigan.

The first round will be resumed at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow provided there is no accumulation overnight. Tee times for the second round will begin shortly after 8:00 a.m.
