PITTSBURGH, PA - Toledo (7-4) picked up its second win of the weekend slate with a close 4-3 triumph over Georgetown. The Rockets and Hoyas met inside Duquesne's Alpha Tennis Club for an early dual match on Saturday.

"This is a tough group of guys and they're only getting tougher," head coach Al Wermer said. "They're learning to hang around and battle, and they're enjoying it along the way. At the same time, we'd prefer not to live on borrowed time by dropping the doubles point. We can improve that."

Grant Adams led the Rockets with two wins on the day. The sophomore recorded a three-set victory at No. 3 singles and partnered with senior Francisco Stuardo to earn the only UT win in doubles play.

Sophomore Tomas Stillman captured the top singles match over GU's Charlie Caris in straight sets, winning both 6-2. Sophomore Nicky Wong and senior Bryant Dudzik also came away victorious to clinch the match. Wong went to three sets for the second time in two days, defeating Alex Tropiano 6-3, 6-7(4) & 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Dudzik held down the final spot by conquering John Brosens in straight sets.

Toledo will close out the weekend road trip versus Duquesne tomorrow morning. Match-play is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Alpha Tennis Club.
