TOLEDO, OH - Toledo (18-2, 6-1 MAC) looks to maintain its winning ways on Sunday, Feb. 3 when it hosts Western Michigan (6-14, 2-5 MAC). Tip-off time is set for Noon in Savage Arena.

UT is currently tied with Ball State (9-11, 6-1 MAC) for the second spot in the MAC West Division standings, one game behind frontrunner Central Michigan (13-7, 7-0 MAC).

The Midnight Blue & Gold enter Sunday's division showdown riding a six-game win streak following Thursday's 61-42 triumph vs. Ohio.

The Rockets stunned the Bobcats with a 24-6 run that lasted into the final minutes of the opening half and never looked back. UT shot 40.0 percent (26-of-65) from the field, while holding Ohio to just 28.6 percent (14-of-49) to claim its 21st-consecutive home victory over its cross-division opponent, dating back to Jan. 7, 1987.

Senior Yolanda Richardson led Toledo with 15 points, six rebounds, two rejections and two assists. No other Rockets reached double figures in the double-digit triumph, but 12 of the 13 that saw action recorded at least two points.

Richardson helped the Rockets outscore the Bobcats in the paint, 44-22, and clean the glass with 17 more rebounds (season-high 51-34), helping them post their 17th-consecutive victory against a cross-division foe.

Junior Andola Dortch added nine points and five boards, while senior Naama Shafir and sophomore Inma Zanoguera both registered seven points.

Shafir also dished out a contest-best nine assists and passed Dana Drew (659, 1990-95) to become UT's all-time leader in that category.

For the season, the Rockets are fueled offensively by the quartet of Shafir, Dortch, Richardson and Zanoguera, who are averaging 11.9, 11.3, 9.7 and 8.8 ppg, respectively.

The Broncos come to the "Glass City" having split their last four games, most recently suffering a 73-50 setback to Ball State on Thursday. Michelle O'Brien was the only WMU player in double figures, finishing with 12 points against the Cardinals.

Western Michigan features an attack with five players averaging at least 7.5 ppg led by Corie Buchanan's 8.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.4 apg and 1.5 spg. The Broncos are 2-10 away from home this season.

Toledo leads the all-time series against Western Michigan, 46-19, winning eight of the last nine games.

A season ago, the three-time reigning MAC West Division champion Rockets dropped a 70-67 decision on the road (Jan. 5), before responding with a 76-50 victory at home (Feb. 18).

Following Sunday's matchup, Toledo will travel to MAC East Division co-leader Miami on Wednesday, Feb. 6. The opening tip from Millett Hall is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. - Your Source for Rocket Sports
