Senior LB Dan Molls was named Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Toledo's 37-17 victory at Western Michigan on Sept. 29. Molls had a team-high 13 tackles and broke up one pass.

Molls leads the MAC and is fourth in the country with 12.4 tackles per game this year. As a sophomore, Molls was second in the MAC and 10th in the nation with 143 total tackles in 13 games. He averaged 10.0 tackles in an injury-shortened season in 2012, but did average 12.0 tackles over the last five games of the season after returning to the lineup.
