ST. ALBERT, ALBERTA - Toledo sophomore Becky Martin tied for fourth place on Friday at the Alberta Ladies Amateur held at Sturgeon Valley Golf and Country Club. The Medicine Hat, AB native shot a 10-over 298 in the 72-hole event, including an impressive three-under par 69 in the third round.
Former Oklahoma State standout Jocelyn Alford captured the tournament title with an even-par 288 (67-72-73-76) at the par-72, 5,850-yard layout. She took a one-shot lead to the 18th hole where she made par to hold off Jennifer Ha by a shot.
A sophomore at Kent State, Ha finished second at one-over 289 with Jessica Luciuk placing third at seven-over par 295. |
