Toledo, OH - The lone senior on the Toledo women's tennis team, Kelsey Anonsen, has been named to the All-MAC second team for her play during the 2011-12 regular-season, the Mid-American Conference announced this week. Hailing from Victoria, BC (Lambrick Park High School), she competed in the No. 1 singles spot for the Midnight Blue and Gold all season, putting together a regular-season mark of 13-8. Also taking fall tournaments into consideration, the senior went 20-10 overall.
Anonsen also competed in No. 1 doubles for Toledo, teaming with freshman Lexy Pitt. The duo posted a 14-7 record on the season.
"Kelsey really deserves this honor," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "She is a true example of what it means to be a student-athlete, as she gets it done both on and off the court."
