UT Falls to Western Michigan, 5-2

Toledo, OH - The Toledo women's tennis team fell in its second-to-last regular-season contest on Friday, April 20, losing to Western Michigan by a score of 5-2.

Kelsey Anonsen and Lexy Pitt scored a No. 1 doubles victory for the Rockets (9-11, 2-5 MAC), topping WMU's Aleck/Kerr, 8-6. Pia Rygh and Chrissy Coffman fell 8-2 in No. 2 doubles and WMU won No. 3 doubles by default to take the doubles point.

Also giving up No. 6 singles by default, Toledo was in a bind and came up short, only able to pick up wins in the fourth and fifth singles matches. Coffman got the win in the four-spot, defeating Hawkins, 6-4, 6-4. Amanda Border beat Pastunink in fifth-singles, 6-1, 6-2.

UT will host Bowling Green on Saturday, April 21 in its final regular-season match.
