Colombia National Coach Ricardo Rozo to Visit Toledo This Weekend

Colombia Women's Soccer National Head Coach Ricardo Rozo will hold a lecture and clinic at the University of Toledo on Sunday-Monday, March 18-19.

TOLEDO, OH - Colombia Women's Soccer National Head Coach Ricardo Rozo will be in Toledo this weekend to watch one of his star pupils, junior Natalia Gaitàn, as Toledo opens its 2012 spring campaign.

The 2011 Mid-American Conference champion Rockets are slated to host NCAA Division II-member Ashland on Sunday, March 18 at Scott Park at 1:00 p.m.

Following the exhibition match, Rozo will hold a lecture on the development of Colombia Women's Soccer. Rozo guided the national team to their first-ever birth in the 2011 Women's World Cup, as well as a runner-up finish at the 2011 South American Championship and a ‘Final Four' appearance at the 2010 U-20 Women's World Cup. The lecture will be free of charge and take place in the second floor conference room in the Larimer Athletic Complex (building located at North end of the Glass Bowl).

The following day, Rozo will lead a Youth Development Clinic in the Fetterman Indoor Facility. There will be two sessions offered for youngsters and they will broken up by age groups. The first clinic will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for children U-14-15, followed by a second clinic from 7:30-9:00 p.m. for youngsters U-16-18.
