Sarah Long enters her second year as a full-time member of the Rocket Athletic Training staff and her first season as an assistant athletic trainer for football. She graduated from Miami University in 2007 with a double major of exercise science and athletic training before earning her master's degree in kinesiology from the University of Toledo in 2009. 

The former Sarah Vitale, Long worked with the Rockets' volleyball program last year and the cross country and track programs as a graduate assistant during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 athletic seasons.

A Toledo, OH native, Long and her husband, Matt, reside in Toledo. She enjoys cooking, gardening and watching different kinds of sports. 

Long's grandfather, James Vitale Sr., played football at Toledo from 1949-52.
