MILWAUKEE - The University of Toledo men's tennis team dropped its second-straight road match on Thursday evening, falling 5-2 to Marquette at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee.

Junior co-captain Sven Burus earned a win at second singles, taking the third set tiebreaker 10-5 to pick up the victory. Sophomore Leo Sarria also scored a victory playing at fourth singles, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5.

Several tight matches could have swayed the match in Toledo's favor, but Knot Likitkumchorn fell 6-4, 7-6 at first singles and junior Aleksandar Elezovic fell by the same margin at third singles.

Toledo is now 3-2 on the season, while Marquette, out of the Big East, remained perfect at 5-0.

"This was another outstanding fight today against an experienced team," Al Wermer, head coach, said. "Our breaks will come to us because we are playing the right way. I'm happy with our team's effort."

The Rockets stay on the road for a 6 p.m. match Friday against Purdue. Toledo returns home for a pair of matches Sunday at Shadow Valley in Maumee, starting at 9 a.m. against Detroit with the second match at 5 p.m. against Case Western Reserve. Free posters and bag tags will be given away to those in attendance.
