TOLEDO, OH - Toledo (14-4, 4-1 MAC) begins a six-game stretch against Mid-American Conference East Division opponents on Saturday, Jan. 22 with a match-up against Miami (4-14, 2-3 MAC). Tip-off time is set for 2:00 p.m. in Savage Arena.

UT is coming off its best all-around effort of the season at Western Michigan on Wednesday when it tallied a 72-47 victory to remain in a two-way tie with Eastern Michigan for first place in the West Division.

Junior Jessica Williams tied her season-high with four triples and led UT with 18 points, while sophomore Naama Shafir added 14 points with a game-high eight assists. Other key contributors included freshmen Lecretia Smith (8 pts., season-high 7 rbs.) and Yolanda Richardson (8 pts., team-high eight rbs., career-best 8 blks).

The Rockets shot an impressive 47.5 percent (29-of-61) from the field, including 50.0 percent (9-of-18) from three-point land, and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the free-throw line to record their fourth-straight win on WMU's home floor. The Midnight Blue & Gold also finished with a decisive 42-27 edge on the boards and a season-high 13 blocked shots.

Miamie Giden paced the Broncos with a game-high 20 points. WMU's next best scorer was Brenna Bankston with seven points. The home team was limited to 29.8 percent (17-of-57) shooting from the field.

For the season, the Rockets are fueled offensively by the trio of senior Tanika Mays, Shafir and junior Melissa Goodall, who are averaging 14.6, 13.6 and 7.7 ppg, respectively. UT has six players averaging 6.0 or more points per game.

Miami enters tomorrow's matinee on the heels of an 85-65 loss at MAC East Division frontrunner Bowling Green on Tuesday, suffering its third loss in the last four games. Maggie Boyer led the RedHawks with 18 points off the bench with Rachael Hencke adding 16 points.

The 2008 MAC Tournament champions feature an offense with four players scoring at least 8.0 points per game led by Courtney Osborn's 18.1 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 3.8 apg. The RedHawks are 2-8 on the road this season and 2-6 at home.

Following tomorrow's game, the Rockets will travel to Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 27. The opening tip is slated for 7:00 p.m. from Alumni Arena.

UT leads the series against the Bulls, 13-2, and won the match-up last season, 67-59, at home (Jan. 24) to improve its home win streak to six straight in the series. The Rockets also hold a 5-2 edge in games played on the Bulls' home floor, but most recently dropped a 60-45 decision on Feb. 8, 2008 in Alumni Arena.
