TOLEDO. OH - The University of Toledo Athletic Department will be holding eight pre-game receptions at men’s and women’s basketball games, as well as four breakfast receptions in the Joe Grogan Room to help promote its Building Champions Capital Campaign. The purpose of the receptions is to help Rocket fans learn more about the project, the new arena layout, seating options, as well as opportunities to participate in the campaign. The pre-game receptions will begin prior to the games at 6:00 p.m., while the breakfast meetings will be held at 7:30 a.m.
UT is in the middle of a capital campaign that will bring major improvements to the Athletic Department. The Building Champions Capital Campaign features the construction of a new Athletics Complex on the west side of Savage Hall, which will include a new Varsity ‘T’ Athletic Hall of Fame, a merchandise shop, improved fan amenities, new locker rooms and offices, and a beautiful new entrance into the basketball arena. Improvements to the Savage Hall arena include new seating configurations, new suites and loges, a new video scoreboard and sound system.
In addition, plans are underway for an indoor practice facility for football and other sports that will be built adjacent to Savage Hall.
The completion date for the Athletics Complex and Savage Hall renovation is fall of 2008. The indoor practice facility is projected to be completed in 2009.

Join us prior to one of the following UT basketball games. Refreshments will be provided. A game ticket is required for admission to the reception. All meetings will be held in the Conference Room at Savage Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m. (The Conference Room is located near the Athletic Offices on the lower level).
